I’m originally from New York – which let’s face it, makes me feel a little more interesting than I probably am. I grew up in a small town in Florida, moved to the Tampa Bay area for college and am now living in Winston Salem, NC. I have a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Fashion Design & Marketing and after interning in NYC with a fashion magazine (which I will refer to as, She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named) and came back home to Florida to work for a large sportswear company. Three years later, God had a different plan for me and a technical design opportunity opened up at an amazing company in North Carolina and here I am!
I would not be who I am or where I am without my very loving & very nerdy husband, Leo. Software Engineer by day and video game/Star Wars enthusiast by night he spends every day of his life making me feel like I am the most capable and important person on the planet. I don’t have the heart to tell him he’s wrong either! Leo and I started dating when we were fifteen and met this one time at band camp. That’s right, my sexy saxophone skills were just too much for him and it was love at first sight (or something along those lines). Anyway, he puts up with my craziness, supports me in everything I do and continues to make me laugh every day. Oh, and did I mention he is the developer for this blog and helps me troubleshoot all the things I have no idea how to do?! I think it’s safe to say that the best decision I’ve made in my life thus far was marrying this cutie.
No babies yet and none on the immediate forefront so you won’t be finding any mama-drama here, as we’re saving that adventure for a little later. We are, however, the proud parents of an adorable yet unusually vocal kitty named Izzy and a playful pup with the most luscious lashes named Luna. (Both of which love a good photobombing opportunity.)
I feel like I am constantly on the go and there are never enough hours in a day, or minutes in the hour for that matter. I work full time and then some, but try to fill my free time with the things that are most important to me; spending time with my
crazy amazing family, working toward my fitness goals, keeping up our home, working on a slew of craft projects, catching up with my friends and lots of date nights with my hubby. Rest assured, like any other self-respecting girl, there are days you can find me lying on the couch in yoga pants binge watching Netflix for hours at a time. While I love my day job, I need something that is just for me with my own creative direction. This blog began as a chance for me to welcome my 25th year on this planet and make my mark. It is my corner of the world where I can share the things I love, let my voice be heard and see who’s listening.
I’m so happy you’re here and would love to get to know you more too! Connect with me on Instagram, Facebook or email anytime!
